Sardinia is the second biggest island in the Mediterranean Sea and can be reached within 2 hours from the UK. There are no airports in Palau, you will have to fly to either Olbia airport a 30 minutes car journey to Palau, Easy jet and Meridiana fly there from London Gatwick or fly to Alghero airport with a two hours car journey to Palau up the coastal road where you will pass deserted beaches and old fishing towns or you can use the motorway. Ryanair flyes from London Stansted.

The most convenient way to visit Sardinia is to rent a car, at either airports you can find booking office or you can check Carhire3000, Hertz , Eurocar which usually offer good deals. There are bus services which are also available, but are mainly run from May to October.
